Madison got into the car with the four men. Casen got into the driver seat and Madison was shoved between Kaivon and the 17-year-old in the back seat.

Somewhere around this time, Madison was sexually assaulted by Casen Carver and Desmond 17-year-old.

They did not take her home.

A few minutes later they dumped her in the street and took off.

At 3:00 a.m., Madison Brooks was in the middle of a dark road on Burbank Drive near Pelican Lakes Parkway when an Uber hit her and took her life.
Detectives uncovered footage from within the car.

One of the men filmed the whole incident.

When confronted, Kaivon said he was intimate with her but asked her five times and she said yes. When told her alcohol level was 0.319, he responded “I guess.”

Kaivon Washington and the 17-year-old were arrested and charged with third-degree sex crimes.

Casen Carver and Everette Lee were arrested and charged with being accessories to the incident.

The Uber driver was not charged as he was not impaired and contacted 911 immediately.

Madison’s family attorney Carrie Miller explained: “Plain and simple, under Louisiana law this was rape.”

The suspects’ attorney had this to say: “Listen, this is a tragedy, definitely not a crime.”

Two LSU students created a group for female students where they can ask for rides if they are too intoxicated to drive. It’s called LSU Girls Rides.

Madison’s mom created the Madison Brooks Foundation with the goal to raise funds for the safety of young girls and to spread awareness about organ donation.
