A Heath woman has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of making sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy, who was a friend of her son.
Natalie Sorrells, 44, was found guilty on two counts of indecency with a child by contact. The charges stem from incidents that occurred between April 2023 and February 2024. She was sentenced to 30 months for each count, to run consecutively. She was also fined $10,000.
Sorrells was originally arrested in February 2024. She had been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child. The aggravated sexual assault charges were later dismissed, and she was convicted only on the indecency charges.
The investigation began when the victim’s mother found deleted text messages between Sorrells and the 13-year-old.
